Summary:
Sanria, though not physically harmed, is not acting herself, and may be affected by some kind of non-magic.  The party also discovers that Garlan's minions have been using the arcane marks to scry on different areas, and poof in to attack whenever we appear.

Sarah's Telling:

We stayed at a small inn, and in the morning, headed out towards the Seedy Hole again.  We fought back two Lemures on our path, but that was no trouble.

At the Hole, Jelth, the owner, informed us of several things.  First, that he hadn't heard from Kariss since we last did.  Second, that there was a rumour about that Garlan was using devils, which we could confirm experiancially, and also that Garlan's minions had been casting spells along major streets in the area.   On another note, he was able to tell us that he had heard of no bad coming to Sanria, or the Temple of Lemara.  This, of course, struck me as strange, since last we saw, she was being taken away by the guards.

I convinced the boys that we should definately go to check things out at the Temple, and we headed in that direction.  Another imp bothered us on our way to the Temple, but we handled him nicely.

What we discovered there was awful.  Sanria greeted us, looking normal, and well, but she was obviously under the influance of a spell... or a non-spell?  She believed that Garlan was only trying to keep people away from the manuscript, which contained instructions for not a resurection spell, but instead for an army of undead.  I noticed a silver non-magical ring on her finger, but when I tried to ask her about it, she didn't even know it was there.

I heard a story once about rings that were magically non-magical, rings that could do all sorts of magic without magical help, I mean.  What if the spell affecting her is one of these?

I got Sanria to agree to have one of the other priestesses cast Dispell Magic on her, but thinking about it now, I don't know if it would do any good.

When we left we were ambushed, this time by a larger group.  During the battle, I notice a tree we had passed by had Garlan's Mark on it.  It has occured to me that he must be using some new magic on those Marks.  Scrying on them, and having these damned beings attack us when we pass by them.
